Illusion

To those who think

that in the body

trapped is our soul

you get a tooth pulled

and you

are still there

you get your appendix

removed

you are still there

god forbid

you lose all

your limbs

you will still be there

but what of all the lost parts?

there is no silver cord attaching

them to us

still

consciousness

is

alive and present

consciousness is

us

our soul

it is the only

thing in life

which is

fundamental

and

independent

from the so called

material world

somehow it seems

it is in this body

we call our own

this is yet

another

illusion

we

grapple

with

when

we die

we

shall

wake up

in another room

another reality

another dimension

just as awake

as we are now
