Fields of Grass

it’s what you see that makes

you who you are.

it’s what you don’t

that makes people

others.

it’s a nice day

and I feel like crying

as I lie in fields

of grass.

it’s a gloomy day and

I feel like lying

with raindrops

falling from my eyes.

when you go outside

and walk in the grass

you walk on what God

made.

it’s there

seen

with eyes given

us.

the

invisible essence

behind

these

eyes

we

look

out

of

is

that

us

we

always

have

been

searching

for

and felt

so distant

from.

it is

where

we

have

always

been

all

these

years

we

searched

for our

true identity

but had

looked high

and low

in

all the

wrong places

until we

both

had laid

and looked up

to God

from

fields

of

grass.
