Spellbound, poem, steven james humphreys

Spellbound

spellbound

is

the light

of

that train

coming.

go back.

it’s possible

in spellbound.

you’d give your soul

to have

one more try at it.

again, you know

the earth

moon

sky

never changes

just

like God

never forgets.

it’s that ghost

that once it’s gone

it’s gone for good.

and,

it

is

gone.

ragdolls do

dance

when no

one is

looking.

and, the candle

lit was the candle

that flickered

when the drapes

parted and

the wind

blew in.
