This Dream of Mine

I walked in a

distant

unfamiliar

garden

I ventured into it

with a dark cloud

encircling my

head

on this garden path

birds feared me

they should not have

I came to transform

my troubled nature

and find peace

subject to the invisible

hand of God

trees were bending

drooping their limbs

leaves gliding

meandering slim

sunlight streaming

flowers glistened with dripping dew

and, I realized I was surrounded

by a beauty that was not of my

own making

no

woman,

child

and

man

took part in its

creation

that there was another maker

who created this

out of selfless love

one whose hands I could not see

working their wonder

from

somewhere

above

beyond earth

but, I knew

these hands had

been there

and that

in this dream

of mine

they

were

still

alive

doing their

work

submerged

within all he

had done.
