As it rains

As it rains poem by steven james humphreys

As it rains

I look out my window.

I sit here now.

warm inside.

the sound of rain.

the smell of rain.

the beauty of it

we cannot recreate.

if I could be alive

forever, I would

want to see the rain

it is though, enough doing

for now.

the sound of thunder.

flashes of lightening.

dark beautiful enchanting clouds

pouring down their happy teardrops.

this makes life beautiful.

being with the rain

as it happens

is part of what makes

life worth living.

it is worth cherishing.

it is the eternal moment.
