Crazy town poem by steven james humphreys
Life's ups and downs

Crazy town

We work

in a crazy town

people scurrying

falling over each other

everywhere

angry

confused

sick and tired of it all

bumper to bumper traffic

getting heavy filled with

these painful needles and pins

the alarm screams at us

we wake

we drop dead in bed

we sleep

our stomach

growls

we eat

the monotony

makes us think

all of this

will

never

end

and the wine

pours and makes

us forget this emptiness in the pit

of our stomach for the

moment.
