empty desert road

empty desert road owns loneliness

hypnotic

pain of

me

there

alone

but in adventure

the sheer experience of aloneness

abundant in advantages

roadrunners still run with

lizards in their mouths

cacti bloom beautiful flowers

for the insects to feast upon

mountain vista stands proud

telephone poles repeat

tumbleweeds roll

hot air blows dry so cold

and no one cries

when you die

no sadness abounds

no hearts broken

you hear howl of

wind

prayerful shrill voice

blowing

papers

to your

demise.
