radiant sun

radiant sun poem by steven james humphreys

radiant sun

warms bones

leaves blown

dancing through the sky

coming near

listless fears

crossed our ears

serpents crawl by

birds float

I wonder why

green is green

and gold is gold

our sister tells

her story told

grieving in her way

like fools

who never stay

what has come

is the hour

we say that

in a moment

in our time

in our day

we have made

our own beds

now in them

we must lay.
