blue

blue poem by steven james humphreys

you get blues

until you look

up to the sky

see the daytime blue

and the spotted

clouds

drifting

in their own hue

floating by

sprinkled rain

subtle breeze

endless night time sky

stars like grains of sand

owl in the distance

fluttering wings

flying by

peace

tranquility

cool night air

moon like a spotlight

coming through your hair

go inside

your friends beckon you

meowing and whimpering

into a warmed bed

kitty at your

side

doggy at your feet

sleep away dread

soul to keep

in the day

everything

said

this

is

the

way

life

is

sweet.
